With no direct volunteer experience – I do have work experience as follows outside of working events directly as Bizarre Common:
Moon Crush x4 – hospitality check in, ticket coordination, information and cove services
Imagine – ground control and safety contact
Caverns RaveCave – vendor support
Sacred Sessions – ground control and safety check
We Belong Here – vendor support & coordinator
I do have first aid experience but am not current on my certification, if this is a needed slot I am happy to find the time to renew.
10+ years experience in hospitality and worked several events with Moon Crush focused on that role.
Non technical include – Vendor coordination, project management, team management, customer relations, and supportive roles in general
If the desire to allow Bizarre Common as an additional enhancement to Invisible Intersection is an opportunity, this would be the most amazing placement. Either way I would do well in most any role. I love engagement, quality control, answering questions, trouble shooting or problem solving, and would consider myself highly efficient and proficient with personal relations. Bizarre Common’s foundation operates from the place of connecting, supporting and collaborating. After nearly a decade of being a festival and concert attendee, the last two years have been focused on helping where production meets patrons. Camping festivals being my favorite setting to facilitate, I’m skilled and prepared to assist in any way or direction needed by Invisible Intersection. Partner Tyler Tonnesen and I founded and move around the country with Bizarre Common, an interactive art lounge and creation collective aimed at providing an informed and safe space for festival goers, artists, connectors and all working tirelessly during the long days and nights of these events. Excited for the opportunity Mark has offered to so many of us wanting to be a part of this weekend.
Being at Eclipse to be a part of the community during this rare natural phenomenon with so many loved friends, musicians and organizations to discover is a dream. With our working event schedule as it is we, Tyler and I, knew we wanted to go, but have only just had the time and opportunity opened up. Over the last two weeks as we looked more and more into the setting and programming, I can’t help but feel centered and aligned to being part of this event and spcefically the Invisible Intersection team. Wanting to be present for this team and attendees in any way or space that is needed.
I love music, artist and the community! So many genres –
Gone Gone Beyond, Hozier, Griz, Anderson Pak, Andrew Bird, Tash Sultana, Tame Impala, Glass Animals, Tape B, Barclay Crenshaw, LSDream, Zingara, Subtronics, Ayla Nereo, Toubab Krewe, Desert Dwellers, Elephant Heart, Apashe, Moontricks, DIRTWIRE!! And so much more.
None diagnosed, occasionally will have small blood sugar drops but hasn’t been an issue recently (last 6/9 months) and am very good about keeping snacks on me (and eating in regular intervals in general so it doesn’t happen at all).
Please contact me by cell phone (call or text) with any additional questions or necessary information, I deeply look forward to this opportunity and event!
